Letting Go
When you let go and open up, see the brilliance of the day
you'll hear your voice expressing love in a thousand different ways
open up your heart, let your fears slip away
and all that's meant to come to you will appear
Allow yourself the time to breathe, allow yourself to be still
you'll find within a well of peace you can draw from again and again
You'd be amazed at the strength in you when life takes its toll
with fear removed, the road is cleared..... a path right to your soul
open up your heart, watch your fears fade in the distance
and all that's meant to come to you will appear.

Comment on White Light Love and Healing
I read your article White Light Love and Healing. Though we share many
identical observations about the Universe, I was perplexed by your
repeated assertation that humans were once better than we are now.
For example you say
"The physicist may have tried to explain atoms being held together by
magnetic forces, but I now have a question for the physicist, “When did
mankind stop being held together with the magnetic forces of love and at
what point did it become acceptable for love to be replaced by the forces
of fear or insecurity?”
And I am compelled to ask you ,"What makes you think we ever
were?"
You also say:
"Generation after generation has handed down fear. Much of it is well
meaning, and obviously as very young children we needed to be
protected by foreseeing potential dangers. But did we have to be so
thoroughly bombarded with fear that we spend every waking moment
clenching our jaws, hunching our shoulders and keeping constant vigil
both within the present moment as well as all future imaginings."
Yes, we did. This is how our ancestors survived. This is why we are
alive now. This is our heritage.
Fortunately, we live in a time where we can acknowledge this and finally
reach a higher place, if only as many individuals and not society as a
whole.
Keep up the good work, you hold a light for those who want to see. I
only write this because truth is truth, and so much of what you say is
enlightening, and I feel that particular thread of thought does a disservice
to your piece.
Dear Travis,
I really appreciate your comments and I do agree with your point of view.
Many times, I have gone over the articles and found generalizations,
exaggeration and better ways to say things. Looking back I see there are
things I now feel differently about and new ideas and thoughts which have
since evolved. To perfect any work of art one should probably not
commit to paper.
I don't tinker with the site because the book is in print. Both must be true
to each other.
Another reason I don't edit it is because the original work was creative
not academic. I never intended to write a book nor have I ever thought of
myself as a writer.
I wrote the articles for myself as conversational pieces never as a tutorial.
It was only because I was asked so often that I published. People will
always agree or disagree with bits but my influence should only be to
present my point of view to inspire others to question theirs.
Of course only a fool would assert that their ideas on spirituality are right
and a wiser person would know that you never discuss politics or religion
let alone put anything in print.
Generalization or not, I do believe that most of us have a place in our
minds where times gone by were simpler or better and whether it is true
or not probably isn't all that important. The concept of a less fear filled
time, past or future, is creatively allowed according to me at this time.
Thanks so much again for your insight.
Best Wishes
Sonya
PS Others have made similar statements and I wonder if you would
mind if I posted this mail on the you say pages of the site? I won't
need to publish your name unless you would like me to.
I wouldn't mind at all if you posted my comment, name or not. Your
reply was well worded.
I hope your influence continues to inspire others and I only commented
because I thought the rest of your material was valuable.
It is an old idiom that one should never discuss politics and religion, but I
wish more people were capable of discussing such things with a truly
rational mind. If they did, I think the conclusions that you come to in your
conversational pieces are the inevitable ones. Unfortunately there very
few who are brave, willing, and capable enough to look honestly and
rationally at these subjects. Hence there are so few of us who value truth
and enlightenment and your efforts to put your conclusions out there are
worthwhile.
Interesting that you say, "I do believe that most of us have a place in our
minds where times gone by were simpler or better". I find myself recently
looking back 3 years ago to a time where I had just been separated from
my wife, my family was being torn apart, and I found myself not in the
home that I had worked so hard to restore but a rented out shabby house
that was in a semi industrial area. Though it was the roughest time of my
life by far and I was suffering, I find myself looking back longingly for
some reason. Go figure. I'm still working on why we humans do that.
Thanks for the reply.
Thank you. I loved this email for a number of reasons. Perhaps those
times are in how our hearts felt, rather than in the actual history. Maybe
truth can be abstract. And, regardless of predictions or data we must
always look forward with hope and optimism. It would also serve us well
to look back with some degree of gratitude.
Best Wishes
Sonya
